Moses spends far too long on G&GR, dealing with the totality of the strength and conditioning, the medical, the rugby side of things, strategy, the review, preview of the internet itself and also the individuals. A Waratahs apologist and rib-eye steak enthusiast, he is often found working behind the scenes keeping the G&GR juggernaut afloat.

A Kindergarten class at Bellevue Hill have used their craft time to great effect with this inspiring collection of postcards to the Wallabies. As usual click on the image to see a larger version and then use your arrow keys to navigate. If you’d like to send your own message of support, click here to download the template that @WaratahJesus knocked up in his spare time. Michael Cheika has been announced as the new Wallabies coach on a 3-year agreement. Pulver noted Cheika’s style of play at the Waratahs as a positive. After the tour the ARU will look at hiring a team manager. This traditional ancestral war cry was performed by the original mudchooks at the Phuket 10s, and captured by G&GR’s own Mr Timms. How do you rate their Chooka skills? Are they as good as the 1973 All Blacks?

Greg Peterson wasn’t the only debut at the Sydney Football Stadium last night. There was also a G&GR photographer having his first shot at the big time. It was a great experience, even when I got sledged by the crowd for having the smallest camera. Some say that size matters, but they’re stuck in the stands! We weren’t expecting much; I only got a camera last Friday and didn’t know the difference between an ISO and an F-Stop back then. Any tips on how to improve for the Cheetahs match are most welcome. Apart from “focus on the actual players”,…

The Tahs went north to Banjotown in pursuit of the Templeton Cup. The Match The opening quarter saw some entertaining and open rugby with both teams running the ball, and finding opportunities when they did. The Reds looked better for their hit-out last week and made fewer errors, turing their opportunities into points. Dom Shipperley went over first, busting through Israel Folau and Adam Ashley-Cooper. Ben Tapuai was in the right spot to take an intercept and run over the line, which had the home team up 17-3 after 20 minutes. The second quarter kept the home side scoreless, while…

Nathan Sharpe is a legendary figure and true statesman in rugby, both at the Western Force and on the international stage with the Wallabies. That’s why G&GR is getting behind a campaign run by The Whole Force to have the new grandstand being built at nib Stadium named after a man who has done so much for the game. Nathan embodies all that is good about the game. It would pay homage to him as well as honour the game and the stadium. If you’re a fan of Sharpie and would like to see a stand in his name, please…

I had the privilege of watching the Waratahs play the Stormers at Newlands last night and thought I’d share the experience by comparing it to a ground I’ve been to almost to 50 times – the Sydney Football Stadium. Cape Town as a city has many things in common with Sydney – both cities boast natural beauty unrivalled in their countries with magnificent harbours and wine regions a 2 hour drive. Both are home to a large gay community, and both have a rugby team stuffed with talent that consistently fails to deliver on its’ potential. We started the evening…
