The Wallabies tour to Europe has ended with a tense 29-28 defeat to Wales at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. It was the discipline of the Wallabies that let them down again as they played 65 minutes without Rob Valetini after he saw red for a dangerous tackle and if that wasn’t enough, they had another ten-minute period without Kurtley Beale for a deliberate knock down…

The Wallabies poor run against England has continued to make it eight losses in a row with a 32-15 defeat at Twickenham. The scoreboard may show a 17-point win for the hosts that blew out with a late try but it could have been a lot worse if not for some dogged defence at times. The Brumbies are the Super Rugby AU champions after a tense 28-23 win over the Reds in Canberra. In the end, it was a game befitting of the final as the Reds threw everything at the Brumbies in the last quarter but couldn’t come away with what would have been a remarkable victory to end a six year losing streak in the capital given they lost arguably their best player in Jordan Petaia followed Lukhan Salakaia-Loto for the second half. Tries to Folau Fainga’a, Andy Muirhead and Tom Banks and the boot of Noah Lolesio were enough to see off…

The Brumbies had to make hard work it against a determined Western Force side but eventually came away with a 31-14 win in Canberra and secure top spot in Super Rugby AU standing and the right to host the final on September 19. The Force may not have won a game yet in Super Rugby AU but they dominated the opening 25 minutes of the game with a mix of strong forwards play and pressuring the Brumbies into mistakes to stifle their play in a game that was nowhere near as comfortable for the Brumbies as the final score suggested.…
