It was a pretty depressing night as a Wallaby fan but it’s still fantastic to get so close and occasionally snap a great photo. Here’s the best of what I managed on the night. I hope you enjoy them. Click on the main image to bring up a larger shot and then use your arrow keys to navigate.
This week it was my job to write the Bledisloe II match review. In the rush to get things out quickly after a game you need to rely on your gut feeling a lot and frankly you can get it wrong. So taking my cue from Hugh Cavill’s follow-up post last weekend I decided to take another look at Bledisloe II to see if I had drifted to far off course in the heat of the moment. Below is an expansion of the notes I took during my second viewing. 1. No one is straightening the attack. So much of our…
Last week I half-jokingly predicted a 10 point win to Australia. It was more of a hope than a belief but what I did expect was a pretty good showing from my team. What I didn’t expect was a six tries to two drubbing. While it was 17 points on the scoreboard to me it felt like we weren’t even that close. So with my unbreakable Aussie spirit intact I head into Bledisloe II full of hope. Maybe not for a win (although I’d have taken one) but definitely for a better showing from the guys in the gold jerseys.…
Wow! The build up to the Bledisloe cup match in Sydney on Saturday has been amazing. And there’s still two days to go!
Who should be the Wallaby blind side flanker? You choose
All you need to know about the new scrum laws
Who is the Wallaby Openside? Liam Gill or Michael Hooper? I’m going to put my cards on the table straight up. I’m a Reds fan. And I am a massive Liam Gill fan. Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of Michael Hooper as well, but for the start of the Rugby Championship I think Liam Gill should be starting for the Wallabies. Here’s why. Let’s start by looking at the other two backrow positions. With the injuries to Palu, Higginbotham and Kimlin it’s actually looking a little thin. I’m assuming Ben Mowen…
Here’s your chance! Who do you think should be Wallabies Coach? Link or Jake.
What a difference a week makes! The Lions lost their captain and openside flanker Sam Warburton. Then Dropped Irish legend Brian O’Driscoll and replaced him with the giant Jamie Roberts. The Wallabies made one unforced change bringing in the legendary George Smith. While Liam Gill was the unlucky guy who made way for him. The Match The Wallabies looked nervous from the kick off. Kane Douglas decided to leave the ball and forced Will Genia to attempt a very difficult take, which he spilled. From the resulting scrum referee Roman Poite awarded the Lions a free kick for an early engage. The Lions…
The Wallabies only had a couple of muddy tags between heartache and victory last week. Heartache won the day!
What a difference a week makes! The Wallabies have had their hopes crushed with a last minute slip on the Lang Park surface.
What a fantastic night! The noise from the crowd was amazing and so was the match! I got a real buzz from the whole thing.
I think I’ll let the photos do the talking. You can use your arrow keys to navigate and click on the image for a larger photo.
Crusader v Waratahs matches have a history of being epic encounters and this promises to be no different.
We all know how the Australian sides a travelling in the greater scheme of things but how are they travelling right now. I’d though I would take the short view. Look at the right now. What I found was very interesting. Welcome to GAGRs Power Rankings
The Reds need to win in South Africa to stay in touch with the Brumbies. While the Stormers are struggling with a Reds 2012 like injury toll
Amongst all the angst and hysteria of yellow jerseys being called yellow and not gold. And the dramas of the toxic environment comments. And the thousands of comments, articles and forum threads devoted to Quade Cooper being or not being selected for the Wallabies squad. It seems to me that one small fact seems to have been neglected.

My photographic journey continues at the Reds v Sharks match. This week despite being less than 5 metres away from Anthony Fainga’a I missed the shot!
Hi guys. Game 3 taking photo’s for greenandgoldrugby.com and I’m pretty happy with my improvement. My big lesson for this week is to check my shutter speed! Even though I set it at 1/1000 before going on the pitch by the time the game started it was on 1/400! So the shots aren’t as sharp as they could be. The good news is I’m getting more focused shots and some that are not quite there but I like. I’ve included a couple in the Photo Gallery that the pro’s probably wouldn’t of shared. On to the Photo Gallery. You can…
