Wallabies in waiting outside of NSW?
With the news that the wallabies have dropped to sixth in the IRB rankings, due to the fact that the Six Nations is offering points to the Northern Hemisphere teams, the prospect of a tough World Cup is looming on the horizon like a black cloud. This sentiment is aggravated by the intermittent performances of the Waratahs. The team that last year looked like the benchmark and rightly gave Cheika the rights to succeed McKenzie looks shaky this year and this impacts the judgement on the players. What is more distressing is that, despite the arrive of Mario Ledesma as forward coach, the scrum is still looking shaky. And the Wallabies will pay big time against England and Wales if they don’t fix this.
Every missed catch form Folau, every dropped ball from Beale, every less than stellar game from Hooper, and so on, raise the question about who should play in green and gold in England and Wales. We leave these dilemmas to our head coach, but I’m sure that everyone will have their opinion and make plenty of suggestions.
