Michael Foley’s talk of eight wins for the season isn’t looking so silly now. On the way to their fivepeat they’ve beaten the three of the four other Australian provinces and earned a whole lot of creed.
The only dark cloud on the horizon is injuries to key players. Alby Matherson’s ankle injury in their game against the Waratahs is a huge blow and the medical staff (and most of WA) will be sweating on his swift recovery. He’ll join Solomoni Rasolea, Hugh McMeniman, Chris Alcock and Luke Morahan in Team Rehab. Can the Force cover that many key players? I’m jumping on board the bandwagon and saying yes they can. Don’t worry I’m still Red. Just more than a little impressed with the boys from the west. I did manage to get a picture of the bandwagon leaving Perth for Melbourne this weekend. I’m not sure if the Victorians are ready for what’s coming their way.
