The Wallabies have turned their focus to Argentina on the Gold Coast after their one point win over South Africa last weekend.
In the lead up to the Test, the Wallabies have suffered a blow with Adam Ashley-Cooper and Wycliff Palu ruled out with injury. Ashley-Cooper has been battling a nerve compression injury in his neck that flared up after Saturday’s game and Palu is battling the effects of concussion.
Ewen McKenzie has called for reinforcements to join the squad including Joe Tomane, Benn Robinson, Will Genia and Jake Schatz. Henry Speight finally becomes eligible to represent the Wallabies this week but he too is injured after his hamstring ruled him out of the Canberra Vikings NRC game over the weekend.
With those two positions open, McKenzie has opted for Ben McCalman at number 8 and Peter Betham on the wing. The other change sees Tatafu Polota-Nau return from injury to start at hooker in his 50th Test with James Hanson dropping back to the bench.
