The benefit of the bye
All three teams that had a bye in round 4 came out winners at the end of their next game. Often players and coaches complain about the interruption of their game rhythm, but this week proved them wrong: Rebels, Hurricanes and Crusaders were fresher, more concentrated and stronger than their opponents in tough games against opposition with different motivations.
The Rebels had a good win in their hunting ground in Perth, the Hurricanes overcome the Blues (more to come on them below) and the Crusaders hosed down the hopes of the Lions of consecutive wins on the road.
Especially the Crusaders with the return of Kieran Read and Nemani Nadolo impressed in their dominant win against the Lions.
