2. Hurricanes In Control
While the majority of the super rugby ladder is a congested mess, one team stands out from the rest. The Hurricanes have been simply superb this season, with only one loss from thirteen matches they sit thirteen points clear of their nearest rivals, the Chiefs.
Last round they easily accounted for the Blues in Auckland, earning yet another bonus point victory by a decisive margin (5-29). In what has been described as a clinical display one small chink was exposed in their armour, high five ability.

This is surprising, especially as they should have had lots of practise this season leading the league in tries with 45.
Their final three matches are in New Zealand and they will only have to win one of them to claim the minor premiership. This round the Hurricanes travel to Canterbury to take on a Crusaders team that is only a slim chance of playing finals footy, but surprisingly has scored 44 tries, one less than the Hurricanes.
From there they will play the Highlanders at home and the Chiefs away. These two teams are in hot contention for playoff spots, the results may not affect the top spot, but could well determine how many Australian teams make the knockout rounds.
