New Zealand have put on a devastating display of Rugby to take out the Junior World Championship 62-17 over a shell shocked Australian side.
The writing was on the wall for the Australian side who knocked on from the kick off and conceded a try after just 33 seconds. This set the tone for the rest of the half as New Zealand brought a fast paced game that Australia just couldn’t match. Australia were finally able to gain some possession but were guilty of coughing up ball in crucial areas that were punished by a committed New Zealand side that went to the half time break with a 25-3 lead.
The second half began with more of the same from the Kiwis as a 10 minute period saw them pile on 20 points before a response by Australia through a Luke Morahan try. Australia were able to stem the flow of points and did score again in the 72nd minute through a Kimani Sitauti try but 2 late New Zealand tries saw them take their score over 60 and secure their 3rd title.
