In a major bombshell for the ACT Brumbies, coach Jake White has been granted a release from the final two years of his contract with the Canberra based side.
I can confirm that Brumbies have just granted Jake White a release from final 2 years of his contract .

The news comes as a major shock after the Brumbies made the Super Rugby final this year after going down to the Chiefs in the decider and with pre-season due to start in just a few weeks.
It has been suggested that being overlooked for the Wallabies job in favour of Ewen McKenzie after Robbie Deans was shown the door after the Lions series may have contributed to his decision.
The news would have come as a major shock to the playing squad with the majority out of Canberra on either Wallaby duty or enjoying the off-season. White himself is back in his homeland and it would be interesting to see if senior Brumbies players in the Wallabies squad such as Ben Mowen, Stephen Moore and Ben Alexander have been on the phone to him to seek an explanation.
The players mentioned have recently signed contract extensions to stay with the Brumbies and it will be interesting to see if White’s decision has any affect on their own situation.
The Brumbies still have assistant coaches Laurie Fisher and Stephen Larkham under contract but a decision on a new head coach would have to be made quickly with pre-season just around the corner.
White leaves the Brumbies with a record of 22 wins, 2 draws and 11 losses and increased the squad Wallabies representation from three when he arrived to a total of twelve in 2013.
But the sky isn’t going to fall according to some
Stay chilled folks, sun will still rise tomorrow, and Brumbies will be a massive presence in Super Rugby 2014 and beyond. #keepthefaith
