Wallabies fine: Gibson
Incoming Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson has said that the Wallabies have nothing to worry about after both the remaining Australian teams were knocked out of the Super Rugby finals on the weekend.
“A lot has been made of the fact two New Zealand teams are in the final, but I can recall back in 1998 when there was three teams in the semi-finals from New Zealand and it was one of the worst All Blacks seasons on record,” Gibson said.
“You’d always look at it and say Australia will pick their team, their best 15 players, and so will the All Blacks. You can’t pick 30.”

Tickets for the Sydney 7s will go on sale to the general public from 9am, Thursday 10 September, 2015 via Ticketek.
“There will be no better way to kick off a new season of Rugby in this country than the Sydney 7s in February,” said ARU CEO Bill Pulver
“2016 will be a bumper year for Australian Rugby fans – we have the re-vamped Super Rugby competition that will feature teams from Argentina and Japan; England touring here in June; and Rugby Sevens will make its debut at the Olympics in Rio in August.
“The global appeal of the game has never been stronger and we are looking forward to welcoming fans and players from 16 countries to the Sydney Sevens in the first weekend of February.”

Penrith Calls for More Support
The head coach of Sydney club team, Penrith, has called for more support for the club after they were thrashed by Eastwood on the weekend.
Penrith were defeated 129-0 in first grade, 125-0 in second grade, 136-0 in third grade, and 64-0 in fourth grade.
“We haven’t had any support for 20 years, this has been brewing for a long time,” said head coach, Teki Tuipulotu.
“I took over as head coach in 2013, and at the start of that year we had (Wallabies coach) Michael Cheika, (NSWRU chairman) Nick Farr-Jones, Bruce Worboys all come out and promise their support, but since then, nothing.”
