Folau: Beware of Waratahs
Wallabies and Waratahs fullback Israel Folau has warned the Brumbies that there are more attacking dangers in the Waratahs than just him and Kurtley Beale.
“We are not even worried about it. There are plenty of other guys in the team that they have to worry about. It’s not just us two. We will find our ways to contribute to the team with our performances, but it’s nothing that myself or ‘KB’ are too worried about.
“It’s kind of a challenge that you want to get, but it’s been like that throughout the year with certain teams we have played.”
Waratahs coach Michael Cheika is also expected to select Jacques Potgieter and Kane Douglas in the second row over Wallaby Will Skelton. [/one_half]

Turner at Fullback
Lachie Turner is set to start at fullback for the Reds this weekend against the Melbourne Rebels after returning from injury. Queensland Reds coach Richard Graham was concerned with finishing the 2014 season strongly after a substandard season.
“It’s about finishing 2014 well so it’s just important to pick a team we feel can get the job done,” Graham said.
This weekend will be the first time since 2008 that both Quade Cooper and Will Genia will be missing from the starting side. Nick Frisby and Ben Lucas are likely to replace the pair to start in the halves. [/one_half] [one_half last=”no”]
Waratahs Seek Revenge
Waratahs prop Benn Robinson has revealed that the Waratahs want revenge after they lost to the Brumbies earlier this year.
“They beat us last time we played them down there, convincingly,” Robinson said.
“We weren’t in the game, so for us to play them and beat them is going to be huge for us.
“As a competitive person you always want to do well. If someone beats you beforehand you want to beat them back.”
Most of the Brumbies squad have just retuned from the World Cup 10’s competition in Singapore where they placed second. The Brumbies will be without star players Stephen Moore (knee) and Sam Carter (ankle). Matt Toomua (groin) and Joe Tomane (cheekbone) are also in doubt. [/one_half] [one_half last=”yes”]
McCaw Ruled out of Super Rugby
All Blacks captain Richie McCaw has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular Super Rugby season with a rib injury which he suffered in the 2nd and 3rd test against England.
“The doctor had a look at it, and they didn’t think it was great – they saw it was badly bruised” said All Blacks coach Steve Hansen.
“So he played in the last one and he was really sore after that, so he’s obviously done some more damage to it in the third Test.”
McCaw is expected to be out until the beginning of the Super Rugby playoffs on July 19. [/one_half]
