What to do with a kid like Kurtley
While we wait for the outcome of the Rebels’ internal inquiry into the incident broken by G&GR over the weekend, it seems like everyone has an opinion on the punishment for the incident. Mark Ella is sick of seeing him in trouble and wants the ARU to impose a serious suspension. Mark Gerrard reckons a short suspension from the Rebels will be enough, while Michael Lipman says he would have already served time by being sent home from South Africa.
What do you think should be done?

Hands-off Johnson
The Scottish Rugby Union have issued a ‘hands-off’ warning to the ARU over interim head coach Scott Johnson, who led Scotland to a third-place finish in this year’s Six Nations, thanks to victories over Italy and Ireland. While the Scotland head coach role has yet to be confirmed, Johnson’s success clearly makes him a favourite.
Meantime, Johnson’s name has been linked with the position of High Performance Unit Manager with the Wallabies (which is interesting, because Bill Pulver said that role shouldn’t be filled by a coach in waiting).

Three Reds injured
Queensland winger Digby Ioane and fellow Test backs Ben Tapuai and Mike Harris are all in doubt for the Queensland Reds’ Super Rugby clash with the Highlanders in Dunedin this Friday. Ioane has a knee problem, while the other two have hand injuries. All three are undergoing scans.

Warburton inspired Wales to victory
Welsh winger Leigh Halfpenny has revealed that a stirring speech made by flanker Sam Warburton – he asked them to think of what it would be like to lift that trophy again, every time they felt tired – spurred the team to the Six Nations title win over England. Warburton wasn’t captain on the day, but this can’t have hurt his chances to lead the Lions.
