Christian Leali’ifano hobbled
The Wallaby number 12 has suffered a compression injury of the ankle in the Wallabies’ terrific win in Rosario, as reported by Georgina Robinson, on Rugby Heaven. Although pundits have been mixed in their assessment of his recent form, there is no doubt his high quality goal-kicking is an important asset for the resurgent Wallabies. He will be monitored closely leading up to the third Bledisloe Test in Dunedin in two weeks.

He’s back…
Following Jake White’s abrupt departure from the Brumbies in order to return to Cape Town for family reasons, he has re-surfaced in Durban as Director of Rugby for the Sharks, on a three-year deal. The fate of the incumbent coach Brendan Venter, who’s had the job since July after new Sharks boss John Smit showed John Plumtee the door, is unknown, with the Sharks press release stating they will keep him involved as much as possible. This is no doubt of little comfort to Venter, who relocated from Saracens in the UK and spoke only four days ago about his passion for his new job.
There could be some heated encounters in Canberra this year when the Sharks come to town, although they are unlikely to raise the temperature at Canberra Stadium into double figures.[/one_half]
