Spotlight: Discipline
While on paper the Lions were pinged more than the Wallabies to the tune of 11 penalties to 9 it was the Wallabies who were let down by their ill discipline. Every single one of the Wallaby penalties was within kicking range of the posts while the Lions only conceded 4 of theirs within kicking range of the posts. This is really, completely unacceptable at this level of play. This far up the ladder players should be working to not give away penalties within their own half. The scrum played a role in this figure but did not produce all 9 penalties.
