Some video analysis of the belter of a game both David Pocock and Rocky Elsom had against South Africa in Brisbane.
As this story broke today about Graham Henry’s moves to be used against the Wallabies, G&GR can EXCLUSIVELY reveal Robbie Deans’ secret attack plans for the Australian back-line. Snapped only last night as they were left lying on a clipboard near the latte station during a squad Twitter instructional session, they show the full extent of the attacking strategies the Wallabies intend to turn on this Saturday at the Etihad Slip ‘n Slide. Asked to comment about the developments this morning, Robbie Deans said something incomprehensible about “playing what’s in front of them”. Or something.
Wallabies 30 – Springbokke 13 Australia kicked off their Tri-Nations campaign with a convincing win over South Africa at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane. The Wallabies saw no reason to deviate from the high-pace ball in hand game plan that served the All Blacks so well. The Boks once again looked like a shadow of their former selves, falling off tackles and being comprehensively beaten at the breakdown. The Bokke upheld the tradition of losing a man to a yellow card within the first 5 minutes via Jacques Furry with a dangerous tackle; clearly an IRB conspiracy. However, despite making a mess…
Writing Wallaby test match previews has become a game

I had the pleasure of watching the All Blacks vs Springboks game in my front room with Bob Dwyer and Mike Penistone – so if the quality of the insight is better than usual, you know why! Despite the doom and gloom surrounding the Wallabies I’ve tried to pull out a couple areas where I think there’s opportunity against the best two sides in the world. You can read Bobs View here.

No doubt sparked by the deja vu of a splintered scrum and loss to the Poms, questions are starting to be asked about Robbie Deans as coach, probably more than at any other time during his reign. It’s a complex and emotive issue, so we thought we’d bring a couple of viewpoints (by no means covering every aspect) to spark off the debate in response to the statement: “Robbie Deans is doing the best possible job as Coach of the Wallabies”
Final Score: Australia 20 – England 21

FINAL SCORE: Aussie BaaBaas 9 – England 15
FINAL SCORE: Wallabies 27 – England front row 17
Green and Gold Rugby can exclusively reveal that Matt Giteau’s withdrawal from this weekend’s test match had nothing to do with fitness. The truth behind the late exclusion is that a copy of his gameplan had made its way into the England camp, rendering his attacking threat neutered. G&GR has managed to get a copy of this gameplan, and can share it with the wider rugby public for the first time below:
Here are a few thoughts on what happened last week vs Fiji, and what that might mean when Australia take on England in Perth this weekend. We start off looking at the ruck tactics employed, and then have a squizz at the roles that Nathan Sharpe and Kurtley Beale have been playing in the side. As for this weekend’s result?
