Marist College vs Daramalan College, Daramalan College Ovals, 3:00pm
A match up that should bring fireworks. Both teams have hit a purple patch as of late with Daramalan winning 3 of their last 4 and Marist 7 of their last 8. Look out for Daramlan number 12 James Rumble who’s been in scintillating form as of late. He has been carving up the midfield of his opponents. Don’t be surprised if Daramalan post an upset here as they were unlucky not to take the points in the two teams earlier encounter in Round 5, which they went down fighting against a classy Marist College outfit by a 28-20 scoreline.
Canberra Grammar vs Tuggeranong Vikings, Canberra Boys Grammar, 3:00pm
Expect a fired up Grammar to come out on Saturday desperate to re establish their premiership credentials after being thrashed by reigning premiers St. Edmunds College. Expect Grammar fullback Matt Naracott to lead from the back in the fullback position. Vikings have been trouble getting players to their games, however if they do get a full team and bench they could pose a threat to a wounded Grammar team.
Royals vs St. Edmunds College, Rivett Ovals, 3:00pm
St. Edmunds College will be full of confidence after ripping previously undefeated Canberra Grammar 54-14 in Round 9. Royals unfortunately have not won a game this season. Beautiful running rugby has been flowing in the Eddies backs the last few weeks and brutal defence is always on hand with JR Morgan in their line up. Expect a similar scoreline to their previous encounter in which Eddies ran out winners.
Wests vs Uni Norths, O’Connor Ovals, 3:00pm.
Uni Norths will be looking to post revenge and stop their losing streak, which currently stands at 6 games. Wests prevailed in a scrappy encounter in the wet in Round 5, which ended at 22-14. Uni Norths were unlucky last week against Daramalan but could not hold onto the ball and that is one they will be looking to correct. Fullback Rueben Wikitera has been a revelation since moving from fly-half and expect him to continue his dominance at the back with his signature running football expected to be on full display.
