Simmons Ruled Out
Wallabies lock Rob Simmons has been ruled out of both tests with the All Blacks after suffering a scaphoid injury against Argentina.
Simmons will undergo surgery and is expected to make a full recovery before the Wallabies play the USA.
“Obviously we’re all disappointed to lose Rob,” said Wallabies coach Michael Cheika.
“However, we’re confident he will make a full recovery ahead of Rugby World Cup.”
“We’ve been able to build some real depth in the lock position, and Rob’s injury presents an opportunity for another player in the squad to stake their claim.”

Brumbies to Sign Halfback
The Brumbies are expected to announce the signing of Argentinian halfback Tomas Cubelli this week to replace departing halfback Nic White.
It is understood that the Brumbies are just waiting on Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR) for his clearance.
Brumbies chief executive Michael Jones announced on Saturday night at the Brumbies Ball that they were close to signing an international halfback for the 2016 Super Rugby season.
The Brumbies also have young halfbacks Michael Dowsett, 23, and Joe Powell, 21, contracted for 2016.

Parahi Moves to League
Australian Sevens star Jesse Parahi has signed with the West Tigers on a 12 month contract ruling him out of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Parahi returns to Rugby League after playing with the Canterbury Bulldogs as a junior.
Parahi will join the Tigers after the Sevens tournament in Auckland in November.
Quade Cooper, Israel Folau, Bernard Foley, Matt Toomua and Sean McMahon could all join the Sevens program after the Rugby World Cup at the expense of players who have been playing in the IRB World Series. Henry Speight announced recently that he would be joining the Sevens program next year.

Carter Pumped
All Blacks veteran Dan Carter is excited as ever to play the Wallabies for the Bledisloe Cup in what is expected to be his last test match on Australian soil.
“Just seeing the emotions of some senior players and how hard it was to win it back really showed me first hand how much this cup means to New Zealand and especially the All Blacks. I’m pretty lucky through my career to have had a lot of successes, but it’s a cup that means a lot to this team and one we want to work hard to retain,” Carter said.
Carter also was wary of the new look Wallabies under new coach Michael Cheika.
“I’ve been really impressed … They’ve put a lot of work into their physicality. Over the years they’ve always been extremely dangerous with ball in hand, and that added physicality they’ve brought has been notable, and probably gives them a bit more of an all-round game now.”
