The ACT Brumbies have unveiled ‘The Stables,’ a fresh initiative aimed at rallying student support for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.
Taking inspiration from the former ‘rUCkus Crew,’ The Stables is set to be the new hub for student fans, offering discounted tickets at just $20. This dedicated section, located in bay 64 at GIO Stadium, will feature its own DJ booth and various gameday giveaways, aiming to create a lively and engaging atmosphere for young supporters.
Gavin Hunt, General Manager of Business Operations at the ACT Brumbies, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “It was really important for us this year to reintroduce a section for young people in Canberra at our games, as we are passionate about attracting a younger audience to rugby in our region.”
Unlike its predecessor, The Stables extends beyond the University of Canberra, welcoming students from various institutions, including the Australian National University. The Brumbies will promote this initiative at upcoming Market Days at UC on January 29 and at ANU on February 12.
By fostering a vibrant student community, the Brumbies aim to enhance the matchday experience and cultivate lifelong fans of rugby in the region.
