Ok folks, only one round left before the playoffs and things are getting tight at the top. Delos Pink Panthers was the team of the round with 537 points which brought him up to 6th. scrumblue and da Boytjie’s also had great rounds and are closing fast. ManBearPigs must be watching the rear-view mirror very intently, while holding on to 17th overall.
Pretty good week for the Aussie teams in fantasy land. Beale and Toomua were the stars among the backs, and rightfully so. 2 tries, 2 try assists, 15 broken tackles, 5 offloads, and 7 linebreaks between the two of them. That’s impressive work and I love what it could mean for the future with them. Pocock, Mowen, and Elsom starred in the backrow.
Hookers and props didn’t fare as well outside of the usually high caliber performance from TPN. He really has been a stalwart this season when healthy, and honestly, even when banged up. Meanwhile Sharpe, Kane Douglas, and Van the Man were the pick of the Aussie locks, with Genia again being the noteworthy halfback. But none could outdo Hosea Gear and his 3 try haul. He’s been in great form since his return from injury and has helped spark the ‘Canes resurgence.
Sorry for the limited writeup this week. Next week I’ll look at the season totals for Wallaby selection by fantasy marks as well as the usual run down. Oh and don’t bother playing any Bulls this week. They’re all sunning by the pool!
