Here it is – the G&GR Super Rugby team of the week for round 2.
With a split of two wins and three losses for the Aussie teams, who makes the team this week?

1. Scott Sio
The Brumbies scrum was good but lost dominance once Sio went off. Was leaning to wards Toby Smith who also had a good game. [/one_third] [one_third last=”no”]
2. Stephen Moore
A typical Stephen Moore game, scrummaged well, strong around the park and throws were good. Wallabies need Moore fit leading into the RWC. [/one_third][one_third last=”yes”]
3. Sam Talakai
Reds scrum smashed the Force, won enough penalties and even scored a penalty try. I hope Sam can continue with this form, think he has a lot of potential to become one of the best tight heads in Australia. [/one_third]

4. Rory Arnold
First time I have really watched this guy play, good game and really a lock to add to the watch list. [/one_third] [one_third last=”no”]
5. Lopeti Timani
I think the Rebels have unlocked the new Wallabies Lock, dominated Skelton and once again got a meat Pie, strong in contact and a pain at the breakdown. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
6. Adam Thomson
Was miles ahead of the other Australian teams, is Queensland’s best signing of 2015. If I have to pick a Aussie it would be Fardy.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
7. Michael Hooper
Typical Hooper display, a pain for the Rebels at the breakdown all night, a couple of good carries [/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
8. Scott Higginbotham
Was good last week and stepped up again, leading the team well. Worried the Tahs when he got the ball and made a good break for the first try. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
9. Luke Burgess
Mr consistency, nothing flash but lead the Rebels back line well, scored a good try and really gave Tony a tough decision to make next week when Stirzaker is available and really made Phipps look average.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
10. Bernard Foley
He was a danger all night running good lines. Defended well and set up Beale for a good try to close out the game. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
11. Joe Tomane
Best of a bad bunch, no number 11 stood out all weekend and Tomane had probably the most solid game. Where have the Australia X-Factor wingers gone?[/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
12. Kurtley Beale
Kills me to put him in this side, it really does. He showed a few glimpses of the Kurtley of old. Still a long way to go but was a very improved performance from last week. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
13. Tevita Kuridrani
What can you say about this guy, he just keeps getting stronger. Always good with ball in hand at making some metres. Miles ahead of the nearest challenger in Australia at the moment. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
14. Taqele Naiyaravoro
Mixed bag for the League convert, two tries and a yellow card for knocking the ball dead. Thought he was lucky to keep his spot after the Force game and repaid Cheika with a solid performance. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
15. Robbie Coleman
Had a good game, made a brilliant try saving tackle. Some good takes under the high ball and only one mistake I can remember is one kick missing touch. Turner looked like taking this in the first half but was quite in the second so I left Coleman in the team. [/one_third]
Special Mentions: Toby Smith, Stpehen Holies, Ben McCalman, Scott Fardy and Turner.
Apologies to Red v Force fans, but the game was horrible to watch from a neutral perspective.
