The GAGR Super Rugby Team Of The Week – Round Four

The GAGR Super Rugby Team Of The Week – Round Four

Here it is – the G&GR writers’ Super Rugby team of the week for round 4.

Some sharp play, but who makes the team this week?

benn robinson profile

1. Benn Robinson

The veteran gave young Sam Talakai a few lessons in the dark arts. Industrious around the paddock also.

2. Stephen Moore

Scrummaged well, tackled well, threw into the lineout well. Very Stephen Moore-esque game all around!

ben alexander brumbies

3. Ben Alexander

Was solid at scrum time and good around the park. Even bagged himself a meat pie! Mmmm pies……

MAFI, Steve

4. Steve Mafi

A couple of line breaks, an offload, hit plenty of rucks and mauls.  Even bagged himself some meat..

rory arnold

5. Rory Arnold

Scored his first Super Rugby try.  Made great use of his massive frame, hitting rucks and shifting bodies

fardy profile

6. Scott Fardy

He only played half a game but all of the other 6’s playing for Australian teams aren’t eligible for this one!

hooper

7. Michael Hooper

Ran, tackled, ran some more, offloaded, hit some rucks. Is there anything he can’t do?

ben mccalman profile

8. Ben McCalman

Most runs and most rucks/mauls out of both Australian derbies .  Says it all really.

Nic White

9. Nic White

General around the field, communicated well with his forwards and gave good service to his backs

bernard foley

10. Bernard Foley

Scored 18 of the Waratahs 23 points.

tomane profile

 11. Joe Tomane

Scored an excellent try and was busy most of the night.

C_lealiifano

12. Christian Leali’ifano

He wasn’t flashy but it was hard to fault his performance. Put on some great hits in defence!

Matt Carraro

13. Matt Carraro

This was my first player picked.  Didn’t put a foot wrong, filled the rather large void left by Adam Ashley-Cooper superbly.

peter betham

14. Peter Betham

Despite some dud kicks, he still had a good game, summed up by his solo try where he ran 80m untouched.

Robbie_Coleman

15. Robbie Coleman

Second highest run meters for the Brumbies. When he wasn’t running he kicked well.

I love the Reds and I love the second row. That probably tells you all you need to know about me. I can often be found engaged in pointless arguments in the GaGR forums as 'Scoey".
