Here it is – the G&GR writers’ Super Rugby team of the week for round 4.
With three good wins and a tipper’s nightmare of a loss, who makes the team this week?

1. Pek Cowan
Scrummaged well and busy around the ground. A few good touches to add to his strong ruck-work.[/one_third][one_third last=”no”]
2. Stephen Moore
A ‘Stephen Moore’ type game as it’s coming to be known. Amazingly led the ACT forwards in carries, so effective in turning mediocre situations into fast ball. [/one_third][one_third last=”yes”]
3. Ben Alexander
Took on the hard task of Hurricane loose-head Ben Franks this week and kept his side strong. Influential in first-phase dominance.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
4. Rob Simmons
Making just as many tackles as the loosies, and really dominating the ball-runner. Popped up frequently off Quade, hopefully adding strings to his bow.[/one_third] [one_third last=”no”]
5. Sam Wykes
An important cog in the Force breakdown. Also impressive contribution in the line-out, forming a strong combination with Steenkamp. [/one_third][one_third last=”yes”]
6. Scott Fardy
Great seeing Fardy in the backrow where he was such a standout last year. Pilfering, offloads, workrate, this game showed all of his skills. [/one_third]

7. Matt Hodgson
Inspired the troops to an impressive win in his 100th cap. Rewarded for his characteristic tough, grinding play with a great opportunistic try. [/one_third][one_third last=”no”]
8. Ben McCalman
Was good in a beaten team last week and stepped up again, leading the team with 13 carries. Worried the Rebel’s ball-runners as well. [/one_third][one_third last=”yes”]
9. Alby Mathewson
Through for a sneaky halfback’s try, also provided great service off the ground and troubled the Rebels wingers with deft box kicks. [/one_third]

10. Quade Cooper
Dynamite in attack. After a bad intercept, picked up his game and led the Red’s well, providing assists on four of five tries. [/one_third][one_third last=”no”]
11. Nick Cummins
Such a tough player, very involved and chased hard. Also enjoyed some more space to wind up due to some poor Rebels defence. [/one_third][one_third last=”yes”]
12. Pat McCabe
Awesome to see Pat McCabe not only competing but dominating. Added a spark to the Brumbies with two breaks showing his turn of pace along with some hard-hitting carries. [/one_third]

13. Chris Feauai-Sautia
Tore it up, becoming a dangerous option outside Quade. Looks like the Reds have solidified the midfield with CFS consistently bending the ad line. [/one_third][one_third last=”no”]
14. Henry Speight
Nobody wants to tackle this guy. Strong, fast, a nightmare for opposing teams. [/one_third][one_third last=”yes”]
15. Jesse Mogg
Always dangerous on counterattack, including a magical chip and regather. Slipped through for a slick try and once again showed his booming kicking game [/one_third]
