Here it is – the G&GR writers’ Super Rugby team of the week for round 10.
Another tough one this week and raises a point of principle – when two players have a great week, at G&GR we won’t then slot one of them into another position (unlike other teams of the week you can find). This round that means Israel Folau – man of the match for the Tahs – doesn’t make it into the team of the week.
No shirking the hard decisions here!

1. Benn Robinson
Dominated his sizeable opposite number and ran wild and free[/one_third] [one_third last=”no”]
2. Tatafu Polota-Nau
Finally we started to see what we know he can do – it’s been a while. Rampaged[/one_third] [one_third last=”yes”]
3. Dan Palmer
His aim was to disrupt the Reds scrum and that he did, even a man down.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
4. Kane Douglas
Imposed himself both at the top of the lineout and with ball in hand.[/one_third] [one_third last=”no”]
5. James Horwill
Lead from the front – of the driving maul. Delivered the game plan.[/one_third] [one_third last=”yes”]
6. Ed Quirk
Part of a hard working Reds back-row that kept the pressure on the Brumbies.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
7. Michael Hooper
Game-changing turnovers and linebreaking runs. Our first glimpse of the 2012 Hooper.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
8. Wycliff Palu
Pulled out his old trick of conjuring metres where there shouldn’t have been any.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
9. Will Genia
For those saying Cooper managed the match, we give you the true Reds general.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
10. Bernard Foley
Foley’s had some good games, but in this one he looked like a real 10, rather than a 7’s whizz.[/one_third] [one_third last=”no”]
11. Digby Ioane
Some cracking runs and even looked good under the high ball. Tore it up[/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
12. Christian Leali’ifano
Those saying the Brumbies “didn’t play” missed skilful game management.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
13. Adam Ashley-Cooper
Best form in living memory. His break for the first try was breathtaking. [/one_third]
[one_third last=”no”]
14. Rod Davies
That extra pace makes him so dangerous. A finger away from a brace of tries.[/one_third]
[one_third last=”yes”]
15. Jesse Mogg
He’s the zing in the Brumbies attack, saved two tries and booted it miles. G&GR’s Man of the Week[/one_third]
