Wallaby Offense
One area we can all be exited about is the ability of our backs to create opportunities. As Bob Dwyer is fond of saying: the offense needs to ask questions of the defense, and I think we are starting to see that with some regularity. The reason this is happening seems to be that we are no longer relying on individual brilliance, it seems that our backs are presented with more options which in turn creates indecision in the defense. The Wallaby backs managed 8 line breaks and 11 offloads, compared with 3 of each for the English.
It must be said that we didn’t finish well, there was two obvious errors, one where Adam Ashley Cooper failed to give Horne the ball early and one where Folau gave Horne a pass that was inaccurate. There were other half opportunities too that I won’t go into except to say that added together we should have had another try.
Overall the offense is looking good, our attack is all out attack which can be predictable but if we can produce that many chances every test, we should always be in with a good shot.
