The Western Force have strengthened their 2025 Super Rugby Women’s squad by promoting two homegrown talents, Nami Dickson and Zoe Elliott, to full contracts.
Dickson, a 20-year-old openside flanker from Wanneroo, and Elliott, a 24-year-old forward from Cottesloe, were both part of the Force’s development squad in 2024. Their impressive performances during the team’s three-game tour in Japan last October and November earned them spots in the main squad.
Head Coach Dylan Parsons praised Dickson’s journey through the local rugby pathways, highlighting her work ethic and potential. He noted her stamina and resilience, especially during the Japan tour, and described her as one of the team’s future exciting prospects.
Elliott, who has a background in powerlifting, is transitioning from lock to tighthead prop. Parsons commended her physical presence and athletic profile, emphasizing the potential she brings to the front row. He mentioned that former Force front-rower Kieran Longbottom worked closely with Elliott during the Japan tour, helping her adapt to her new position.
The Force will kick off their 2025 Super W season on Saturday, March 1, against the ACT Brumbies at HBF Park. Fans are encouraged to secure their memberships, with packages starting from $170 per adult, which include access to seven home games and Super W matches. Additionally, there’s a free Junior Force Membership for one child under 15 with a paying adult.
With the inclusion of Dickson and Elliott, the Force continue to demonstrate their commitment to nurturing local talent and strengthening their squad for the upcoming season.
