Hold onto your scarves, Tahs fans! The NSW Waratahs have just added some serious muscle to their 2025 Super Rugby Pacific lineup by signing Jamie Adamson, the flanker who helped Easts Rugby Club clinch the Shute Shield last year.
At 25, Adamson hails from Durham, England, and has a background with England Sevens. He made the trek Down Under for a taste of the 15-a-side game with Easts, and it seems the Aussie sun suits him well.
Head Coach Dan McKellar couldn’t hide his excitement, stating, “Jamie is powerful, has good speed, good acceleration, and he was a standout player in the Shute Shield.” He also highlighted Adamson’s journey as a testament to the opportunities within New South Wales club rugby.
Adamson has been sweating it out with the Waratahs during their pre-season at Daceyville, gearing up for the season opener against the Highlanders on February 14 at Allianz Stadium.
So, mark your calendars and get ready to cheer on Jamie and the rest of the squad as they set out to make 2025 a year to remember.
