Another Lucas brother
Following in the footsteps of older brothers Ben and Mat, Tom Lucas will become the third of the family to represent Australia in Sevens since the IRB World Series began in 2007. Michael O’Connor may have to wait a few years before getting the fourth brother (Isaac) into a jersey, considering that he’s only 14.
Secret meetings in Sydney
No secrets in the big city. Tired and emotional league writers are preparing to throw the towel in on their campaign to keep Sonny Bill Williams in Sydney for 2014.
Fox Sports filmed a meeting between Williams and a few NZ heavies, with Khoder Nasser sighted exchanging bundles of papers with NZ’s General Manager of Rugby Neil Sorenson. Reports that Bondi Junctions pubs were overrun soon after by sobbing NRL executives are unconfirmed.

More Jake White gossip
Although JW is still refusing to talk to Aussie press, a juicy rumour has cropped up that a six figure payment to the Brumbies was involved in securing his early release to facilitate his jump to the Sharks for next year.
USA to play NZ Maori
The US team will play a Test against the NZ Maori team on the 9th of November in Philadelphia. The two teams last met in 2006’s Churchill Cup, which resulted in a 74-6 scoreline favouring the NZ team.
