Here it is – the G&GR writers’ Super Rugby team of the week for round 14.
A few wins and a few losses, but plenty of gutsy efforts all round. Who makes the team this week?

3. Paddy Ryan
Played less than half the game, but made a real impact with his carrying.[/one_third]

4. Hugh Pyle

5. James Horwill

6. Peter Kimlin
Combined well with Mowen and Smith to outplay the Tahs at the breakdown.[/one_third]

7. Chris Alcock
Outstanding in a losing effort. Beat out Hooper and Gill, which says something. [/one_third]

8. Scott Higginbotham
Becoming a weekly fixture here. Is stepping up right when we need him, and bringing the other 14 Rebels with him.[/one_third]

9. Nick Stirzaker
A very promising outing for the young ginger. Just edged out his Rebels rival Phipps. [/one_third]

10. Bernard Foley

11. Nick Cummins
The Badger is back. Bashed blokes in attack and defence, and never stopped running. [/one_third]

12. Berrick Barnes
Came on at half time and delivered one of the best performances of the year. For that he takes out the G&GR Man of the Week[/one_third]

Threatened with every touch, and was rewarded late in the game when he scored the clincher.[/one_third]
