Beale Wants to Start
Kurtley Beale says he would much rather be starting for the Wallabies than coming off the bench.
“I’d like to start … Being involved with the Wallabies is a huge honour. When you are a player hanging around the edges you dream of starting and you always want to be a starting player,” Beale said.
“That goes for everyone who is in contention for a Wallaby jersey. I’m no different. I’ll be putting my best foot forward to do that.”
Beale is off contract at the end of the year and may go to English club Wasps for $2.7 million over two years unless the Waratahs and ARU can keep him in Australia.

Larkham Stepping Up
Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham will take on player contract negotiations following the depart of CEO Michael Jones.
Jones has now officially left the club and the board will now begin searching for a new chief executive.
“There’s still a lot of work to be done, it’s not over yet. The organisation has a lot of work to do,” Larkham said.
“We’ve got to sort out who’s going to make decisions and give us that direction going forward.
“The plan is for me to take player contracts, that’s happened before. And it’s usually the case anyway that I talk to players we’re interested in and the final step goes to a chief executive.
“The head of every department will step up and take on more of a load.”

Toulon Lose at Home
Toulon has suffered a 12-10 home loss against Toulouse putting a dent in the Top 14 title aspirations.
Not even a backline consisting of Ma’a Nonu, Matt Giteau, Quade Cooper and James O’Connor could score more than one try against the fifth place Toulouse.
Matt Giteau was in great form playing the whole match at five-eight whilst James O’Connor ran the most metres in the match (159).
Drew Mitchell was on the bench but was not used as he makes his way back from a groin injury.
Toulon is currently tied at third on 68 points, seven points behind competition leaders Clermont.
