15 Adam Ashl ey-Cooper: Shrugged tackles at will, we needed him in the line when we were close to scoring. Not in full back, bring him into 13 and pass him the ball with a little bit of room. 7
14 Peter Hynes: One great tackle that may have been a Kaplan yellow. Decent defence, but didn’t offer enough in attack, should have demanded the ball and gone it alone. 4
13 Ryan Cross: He was okay, somehow he got more quality ball there than Digby or Mortlock have had all year but failed to make anything happen when it was needed. Got a ‘well overdue’ try at the end and thought he had won the match… 6
12 Quade Cooper: One great clearance at the start of the match and I thought this might be QC’s day. However got himself into awkward situations because he forgot how to catch and give short passes, this lead to a forward pass instead of a try under the sticks. 4
11 Drew Mitchell: Looked fast and solid, decent long kicking until he tried a torpedo. 5
10 Matt Giteau: 1/3 place kicks. He missed a sitter and a simple drop goal and then a match winning conversion. Proved he can’t run a back-line to save his life. We need to try someone else in 10. 2
9 Will Genia: Has the skills to be the new Gregan but didn’t control the forward pack, He should have shoved them in for the pick and drives constantly. It took the piggies 70 mins to work this out for themselves. Didn’t do much wrong, but didn’t do much right either. 5
8 Wycliff Palu: One of the only Australian players who looked like they were trying to win. Took a bad head/neck injury towards the end of the game. We need him in 8, he’s improving and becoming fitter and more consistent with every test, lets hope he’s fully recovers soon. 7.
7 George Smith: Couldn’t seem to get as involved as much as he wanted, he looked very slow. Seems to be playing with the wrong tactics, taking hit ups off line outs… Pocock will displace him for next test. 4
6 Rocky Elsom (capt): Didn’t play too badly but as captain should have rallied the troops to beat Scotland. Bring back Stirling. 4
5 Mark Chisholm: In terrible form, wouldn’t make the brumbies 22 next year. 2
4 James Horwill: Cant seem to be the enforcer that he in the past (last year) could be. 4
3 Ben Alexander: Stayed on the whole match, scrummaged okay, made a few tackles. 5
2 Stephen Moore: Decent work rate and throwing, but bombed an almost certain try with slowness and an terrible body positioning. 3
1 Benn Robinson: Didn’t play well and then went off injured early. 3
Res:
Tatafu Polota-Nau: Didn’t bring the aggression he is known to bring but didn’t do too badly either. Threw okay line outs. 5
Sekope Kepu: Stepped up well, filling Benn’s shoes can’t be easy. Looks like we got a 3rd decent prop. 7 (so high because I suspected his average would be close to a Benn Robinson 1)
Dean Mumm: At least looked like he was trying when he came on.
Richard Brown: Proved he could keep the same heart rate and work rate on the field as he had on the bench, the medical staff are baffled. 2
Luke Burgess: Came on, threw shit passes and forgot how to catch, a bit like QC, but in scrum half. A generous 1
Lacky Turner (did not play) Lucky Lacky didn’t play, cos most of those guys on the field deserved their spots. Deans: 1
James O’Connor: Came on and make a good break, should have been employed earlier. 6
