Eagle eyed punters among us would have spotted Waratah coach Michael Cheika giving a preview of some of his pre-season activities in the lead up to the weekends game against the Reds. Lucky for you, G&GR has been given exclusive access to an exciting new artist, Michael Cheika, and his burgeoning portfolio before it goes on a National tour visiting Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth as well as brief showings in South Africa and New Zealand.
These sketches are a Post-modern vision of human motivation and how motivation can be improved through the use of physical violence. They explore the complex relationship between coach and player as the coach strives for perfection in performance while the player strives not to have the shit beaten out of him by the coach.
