A big stadium, a big crowd and a big game to follow. However that wasn’t to detract from the NRC game on show for us today. As far as perfect rugby conditions go, the Gold Coast has just about served up the best available. A beautiful second last day of winter and barely a breeze to be seen as the NSW Country Eagles, fresh of a emphatic victory last week of 31 to 2 against a Greater Sydney Rams, travel up to meet the Queensland Country team who had the bye the first week of the competition but have warmed up well and the leadership group clearly enthusiastic to get their season started.
