Jones: ‘Break up the Three Amigos’
Eddie Jones – who seems to be making a single handed assault on the Australian media right now – has said that for the sake of team unity one of the Amigos (Beale, O’Connor, and Cooper) needs to be left out of the Wallabies. For him it seems to be a choice between Quade and Kurtley for 10, which means one of those two is under the axe.
Also blasting the decision to introduce a fifth Super franchise, he said: ‘The Australian conference has been disappointing, I’ve never seen so many people stand still and catch a ball.’

One-match ban for Vuna
Cooper Vuna has received a one-match susension for his involvement in the scuffle and tweeted aftermath on the team bus in Durban over the weekend. This means he’ll be back for the match against the Western Force. Kurtley Beale’s hearing is still ongoing with the ARU (drinks adjournment?) and skipper Gareth Delve has said that in hindsight, getting on the piss after the Sharks match wasn’t a great idea, and that he would happily play with Beale in the future.

Reds have a drought to break
As you would have heard on our podcast with Queensland lock Ed O’Donoghue this week, the Reds haven’t won in Dunedin since 1981 (such a great year for music). However, coach Ewen McKenzie believes playing at Dunedin’s new indoor Forsyth Barr Stadium – rather than the “House of Pain”, Carisbrook – ensures both sides will start all square.
