Chisolm moving forward – AB’s just stayed still and jumped in front of us at 2 – why would Chisolm move from 3 to 2 where AB jumper is waiting |
Lost but AB’s knocked on |
Poor decision making with call – should have re-called once saw where AB’s had set up |

Lineout Summary
The Wallabies won 3/7 in first half plus 1 that was won when the ball was on the ground and 1 when the AB’s knocked on.
Wallabies won 4/7 in second half less one due to the penalty.
So, if we stretch it out Wallabies got the ball back from 8/14.
All Blacks won 6/8 cleanly. 1 of the 2 was due to Wallaby pressure – the other was in the last minute of the game when they probably lost concentration.
Lineout Analysis
- TPN’s throwing is a problem – Moore was okay.
- Chisolm’s calling was a problem – not enough variety and not recognising that the AB’s had obviously decided to pressure at #2, no matter what configuration we ran with. Mumm did better when he came on.
- Very poor defensively – there is really no excuse for not competing at every lineout unless we’re on our own line.

Wallabies – Forward Carries Analysis
- Didn’t count instances where the player caught the ball and passed as a carry.
- Smith was obviously well involved when he came in but 20m of his numbers came from involvement in 2 kick returns.
- Alexander’s only carry came in the 80th minute.
- Negative number for Chisolm’s only carry was due to him standing deep and being caught well behind the advantage line.
- I was surprised at the lack of involvement from Elsom in attack.
