Here it is – the G&GR writers’ Super Rugby team of the week for round 12.
The Waratahs and the Rebels had wins whilst the Brumbies and Force lost but who made the team of the week?

1. Toby Smith
Was a big game for Toby against his old side and he really stood, held the Scrum against the monster in Tameifuma and did some good work around the park. Is always the quite achiever in the Rebels pack.

2. Tolu Latu
Came on early as Polota-Nau went off injured and did not look out of place against Stephen Moore. Would not be surprised to see him given more time by Cheika for the rest of the season.

3. Paul Alo Emile
Really wish he was not heading to France at the end of the season, has looked good since Weeks has been out injured and is a massive loss to Australian rugby.
[/one_third]
4. Will Skelton
Quite round for the locks this week, Skelton was the stand out lock in the Aussie Derby against the Brumbies.
[/one_third]
5. Luke Jones
Proved to be a handful against the Chiefs, 23 Meters, 10 Tackles and 8 Line out takes. Was a good performance and really has to be a contender for the Wallabies this year.

6. Scott Fardy
Another good game for Fardy, Brumbies back row dominated the contest at the Breakdown.

7. Jordy Reid
A tough selection as all of the opensides stood out this week. Given Jordy the nod as he was everywhere against the Chiefs, made a team high 15 tackles and got the GAGR MOTM as well.

8. Ita Vaea
His running was immense, liked the way the Brumbies used him on the offense scrums.

9. Nic Stirzaker
Passed well and took good options all night. Limited the mistakes that have proved costly in other games and scored a try at just the right time for the Rebels

[one_third last=”no”]
10. Christian Lealiifano
Lealiifano was great for the Brumbies in both attack and defence. Had a couple of line breaks and put on a few big tackles. Led the Brumbies around the park and was one of the Brumbies best.

11. Dom Shipperley
Was a tough week for the wingers in round 12, none of the wingers had stand out performances. Shipperley had some good runs for the Rebels

12. Robbie Coleman
Had an excellent game for the Brumbies and is good cover for the injured Toomua.

13. Adam Ashley Cooper
Really hard to split AAC and Kuridrani this week, both had good games and went with AAC as he got a important try for the Waratahs

14. Luke Morahan
One of the best on ground for the Force, never gave up and played really well in the second half. [/one_third]

15. Israel Folau
Another hard position to pick this week, given to Folau for a good offensive effort.
