A small hooker or a fat half back, take your pick. Spends way too much time around rugby, in a country where basically no one is interested, thank god there is GaGR.

Despite the scoreline there were some mixed performances on the weekend. Here then are are my Wallabies player ratings against Uruguay. How do they tie up with yours? [one_third last=”no”] 1. Scott Sio Was part of a dominant scrum, made all his 10 tackles and got a clean pilfer. 6[/one_third][one_third last=”no”] 2. Tatafu Polota-Nau Looked like a hooker who knew he had to play for the full 80, made 9 tackles and missed one, threw a few crooked lineouts 5[/one_third][one_third last=”yes”] 3. Toby Smith Scrummed well at tight-head, but when he went to LHP the scrum wasn´t that dominant anymore,…

VIBE Both team come out willing to play rugby and it was clear from the get-go that Argentina is not taking Georgia lightly with Nic Sanchez opening the scoring with a drop-goal, Georgia staying in the game through the boot of Merab Kvirikashvili and good defence respectively. Argentina also score a well worked try for the lead when the teams head to the sheds, 11-9 at oranges. Argentina comes out all guns blazing for the second half and the first 15 minutes or so is basically played only one way and the man-mountain Mamuka Gorgodze gets binned after a great…

France continue with their world cup struggles. France top Romania in a very unconvincing manner and only secure the bonus point win after 70 minutes of play. VIBE Romania gets to a good start by absolutely dominating in the first scrum and earning a penalty from it. You could see it on their faces how important it was for them and ultimately for the game to remain competitive. The French settle for an easy three pointer early, but the Romanians back their scrum with a close range penalty. From the ensuing phases Romanian number 12 Florin Vlaicu crashes over just to be held…

VIBE The RWC game started like usually when Manu Samoa is involved, with a huge collision between Eagle Thretton Palamo and Manu midfielder Rey Lee-Lo, Lee-Lo being at the receiving end. After that the game itself left alot to desire, there indeed was alot of attacking intent from both sides, mostly bombed with bad handling or trying the miracle offload by Manu and Eagles were really let down by their disclipine, conseding lots of penalties(some might say referee George Clancy was harsh on them). The attacking flair by Manu was too much in the end for the Eagles, even they…

What a finish for a match. I think many of us lost hope before the fat lady sang on Saturday and how good does it feel to be wrong? Too damn good! Here are five things we learned about the Wallabies that popped out of the match after a few reviews. 1. Kicking Cooper had an okay evening with the boot, but once he was subbed, we didn’t have a kicker on the field  better than Giteau, who was short from 40-odd meters. That is a real worry, as come october clutch kicks win games. That is where we come to…
