Wallaby Inside Centre of the Decade

A combo of Flats determination and mental strength and Gits natural ability would be awesome. I chose Gits in a very close one.

    Waratahs 2010

Fava was great for the brumbies (and was great for those who play fantasy rugby as well). With a bit of more size (or without Kefu) he may also have been great for the Wobbs. His form was never the same after he left the brumbies.

    Quade Cooper Stuffs a Career

You are both presuming that Quad has conscioustely decided to commit a crime. That may or may not be the case, he will have to front up to this in court . But he deserves to be judged at that time based on the facts (whatever they maybe) as everyone has a right to do. BTW - assault is a crime...

    Quade Cooper Stuffs a Career

I think we are going to see more of this behaviour, in fact we have already for the same reasons we have seen bad behaviour in league players- young guys get given a whole bunch of money and time but are also insulated from society that would otherwise teach them what is and isn't acceptable...

    Wallaby Fullback of the Decade

I voted Latham, how could you not given this is on the naughties only? I still think Burkey shaded Latham overall though. I would love to have either one of them (in their prime) now though.

    QLD Reds 2010

Can't believe I am defending the mungoes, I guess I am wary of glass houses and stones.

    QLD Reds 2010

"What I think youmeant to say was - different set of values and standards - rugby doesn't stand for this crap - while league may cast a blind eye -" I would agree to this statement up until 2009, but league has come down hard on offield behaviour this year. Bird was sacked by his club...

    Quade Cooper Stuffs a Career

The other alternative is that he was on something other than alcohol and not really "himself". They all sound like bad scenarios though and I genuinly hope that there is some explanantion behind this that doesn't destory his career. 21 is too young for his rugby career to be over.

    Bakkies Gooonnneeeee

Blue (or Paarl if your lurking), whats going to happen to Smit. He has achieved almost everything in the game is one of the very best captains in worlkd rugby but ironically doesn't seem to have a position anymore, espoecially at international level. Surely he must be looking long and hard at...

    Law changes in 2011?

Thommond, your economics is focussing on the defending team only. You also need to make sure the team with the ball in hand has a stronger incentive to score tries rather than force a penalty from the defending team. One of the most irritating thing about poofball is the way teams play for...

    Wallabies v Wales

Fair enough - I too call Smith every name under the sun when he somes to Sydney for a S14 game. There are no problems with the loose forwards pushing the rules (or calling the refs bluff), my issue is that the refs become gun shy at penalising indiscretions that they see or constantly give the...

    Law changes in 2011?

Lets extend your logic Thommond. Do you think making penalties 5 points each will get rid of transgressions in the game? Maybe we should make tries 1 point and penalties 5 points, then we have tries galore! Oh, the one other requested rule change - bring back rucking.

    Bakkies Gooonnneeeee

The EOYT tour was just a bridge too far for these boks and their age hasnt helped. I feel that this gorup of boks have peaked and that new blood will be needed to keep them on top through 2011.

    Law changes in 2011?

I hate that a pissant 9 can come round the back and stuff up hard won ball from the scrum. We don't allow this at rucks so why allow it at srcums? Get rid of this rule. Penalties, conversions and drop goals should all be worth the same thing - 2 points. IF you reduce the value of a drop goal...

    Team of the Spring Tour

I would expect the paddy's and blacks to dominate this team with prob 3-4 players each. Robinson is the only Aus certainty for this team. Genia, Pocock, Palu and possibly Alexander would also be contenders but have some strong opposition. I don't think any of the other Aus players are in the...

How good or bad was the EOYT?

The EOYT has highlighted the main prob with the wallabies - mental lethargy. This team struggles to be up for each game and seems to rest on their laurels. We struggle to put teams away and lack composure when things aren't going our way. I am not confident we have the coaching staff to address...
