All Black players to join SA Franchises?

I couldn't see Spencer fitting into a SA S14 backline at all, nor would I see him as a useful recruit. Waste of $ there other than perhaps novelty value. Hayman is all class and would do a great job.

Giteau nominated for IRB player of the year

Matfield would be my choice, but given he isn't nominated then Du Preez would also be a worthy winner.

    Wallabies v Ireland

Leaving aside the disappointment at the outcome, did we play better than against england? (I haven't seen the match and probably won't till next weekend now)

Which Position should AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) play?

I am pretty sure that Deans' won't pick anyone to play 15 if they can't outrun the opposition forwards - and Gerrard couldn't do that two years ago. Gerrard would be a handy play to have on the bench but I couldn't see him running on, even this year. I picked 13 as I am worried about Aackers...

    All Blacks vs. Italianos

How come stephen Brett isn't on the EOYT tour? is he injured or just gone downhill?

    Is this a knock on?

Personally I don't think it is. The trick is to watch the ball and the background powerade sign but to ignore the english player). This seems to show the ball going towards the english try line at all times even though the player is goijng backwards faster than the ball.

    And the winner is...

The bold bit guaranteed the choice of Melbourne. I presume it was Sanzar who instructed the experts to place considerable weight on these two specific criteria.

    Wallabies v Ireland

I share these concerns. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s running game has been great but his kicking game has been average (although maybe it only looks average comapred to his running game?). It doesn't matter too much, except when playing in wet and lsippery conditions where field position is critical which sounds like...

Elsom: Messiah or just a naughty boy?

Isn't this just a first rate piece of Irish blarney?

    Provincialism - warning

Scarfman, you are starting to become like Mark Lawrence - you know you should be handing out yellow cards after giving repeated warnings but you just can't bring yourself to do it :lmao:

    Wallabies v England

Spiro had an interesting take on Giteau's game. He implied that Gits was running at Wilko in order to tire him out and take him out of the game. Spiro reckons Jonny was sucking in the big ones in the 2nd half. Didn't see this myself but would be interested if anyone is watching another replay...

G&GR Wallaby player of the Year: ENG

I thought Alexander played alright. He made some good tackles right on the edge of the ruck/maul that removed any chance of England getting a rolling maul going plus he contributed to a solid scrummaging performance. It seems Fat Cat gets judged by his scrummaging these days while Alexander gets...

G&GR Wallaby player of the Year: ENG

    3. Genia 2. Palu 1. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Had a disjointed viewing of the game - watched the last 20 mins live and then watched the first 60 on replay and it makes a very big difference as I was expecting to see Smith, hynes, Giteau playing badly for the 1st 60 based on the comments on the forum. Very pleased...

Stirlo is out for the EOY after redoing his calf: http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,,26315282-5016959,00.html Stirling Mortlock ruled out of grand slam tour with calf injury November 06, 2009 Former captain Stirling Mortlock has been ruled out of Australia's grand slam tour of the United...

    Wallabies v England

I think both Aus and Eng will be happy with this Aus team. I would have swtiched Giteau/Cooper around but that will happen anyway. As expected, Smith is starting again. Interesting that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is back at 15 as I thought he had a poor game with the boot last weekend. All this will be irrelevant if...

    Robbie Deans

I doubt the ARU will consider replacing him unless they have a replacement in mind, who would that be? Personally, I think he is safe unless the tour is a disaster. Surely JON would have to go if Deans goes as well?

    The naza question

We need to be exposed to insanity every now and then so that we can remember what it means to be sane. Naza helps on both counts.

    Wobs v. Gloucester

Re: Wobs team v. Gloucester Cross was shown up on the weekend, but what do we expect - he is our third choice 13 and up against one of the best in Smith?

    4th Bledisloe in Tokyo

And to complete matters, Woodcock and Sitivatu have each receievd 1 week suspensions. Woodcock for elbowing Smith and Sitivatu for his brain explaosion on AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). I was wondering what made Smith so fired up late in the game

    4th Bledisloe in Tokyo

While not disagreeing with your basic point, I thought Mccaw's involvement in the first all black try was extraoprdinary, not only to feature twice but also to draw and deliver great passes twice was very impressive. I thought this went beyond the "simple catch pass".
