    LOTE Sacked

Rumours are circulating again. Not too different from the previous rumours, but they have been updated to have an ARU connection, explaining why both parties were keen to avoid releasing details.

Bring on the Boks, Cmon lads fire up there is still hope

I would like to see Waugh start for Smith (and replace him as elcapitain). This is opportuntistic as a rest would possible do Smith well plus it would be good to see Waugh have a chance (even though Smith has been one of our best). My team: Mrs Robinson Moore Alexander Mumm Horwill Waugh Elsom...

    LOTE Sacked

Assuming they believed their legal case was strong, the ARU would have compared the potential legal fees (and damage to the codes reputation from this being dragged through the courts) versus the required pay out to settle. For a case like this, I would expect they would be happy to settle for...

    NZ v Australia.

I agree the scrums improved when Alexander came up, but we were still getting screwed at will and was getting poor quality ball. My main problem with our pigs was that, as per previous games, they got dominated at the ruck during the last 20-30 mins. Look how the Black forwards hunted together...

    NZ v Australia.

Congrats to the all blacks for the thrilling win. We didn't deserve to lose this though and a draw would also have been a fair result. It was real test match rugby with both teams playing it hard and tight trying to establish dominance. I think both teams had similar tactics pre game...

Rumour of the week: Tahu back to League?

Pretty clever of Tahu to have a get out clause in his rugby contract. I will be disappointed to see him go - feels like we were only just starting to see the best of him at the end of this years S14. The tahs are starting to look thin in the backs now with Costa Lote, TT and Sam Two Dads all...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Game I

I am highly amused by the idea of Woodcock letting Baxter get the better of him in certain scrums on the chance that the ref would find fault with Al's bind. I played all my rugby in the front row and I have was never fortunate enough to met a front rower who would willingly let the opposition...

Wallabies v All Blacks, Game I

Great video gagger. You could turn the pictures off and listen to the kiwi commentary and reach te same conclusions. Of course kiwi commentators are reknown for being biased towards the wallabies .....

    Sydney club rugby poll

I used to be a Woodies fan as they were my local team for quite a few years. I am quite the slut now though and will get on the bag of anyone that takes my fancy. Currently am fond of souths given I am living in the shire.

    Bok Arm Bands for Botha

Its been interesting that lions supporters have been whinging about the foul play on the last three lions tours but not one of them has mentioned that 89 tour to Aus.

    Bok Arm Bands for Botha

The uncontrolled clean out was always a personal bug bear of mine when I played. Some players would "superman" themselves into the ruck (into an opposition player) from a running start and I always felt like a pussy when complaining about it. It was almost impossible to defend yourself if you...

    LOTE Sacked

Not questioning trhe reasons for sacking lote, just the timing. Had he been let go on 29 June, he would be signed with a league club by know for the balance of the season. By sacking him on 1 July, the ARU did lote out of an extra $100k.

    LOTE Sacked

Time will tell whether Lote deserved the bullet (this time) or not, but you can't help but appreciate the vindictiveness of the timing of his sacking. I suspect that will count against the ARU in the court. I reckon Lote was the most successful of the 3 big converts, although Rogers would have...

    LOTE Sacked

Is he still eligible to play for West Harbour? I always had a feeling his big $ contract would end in tears one way or the other.

    Lions Tour Thread

Is he out the 3N or just for the first few games? I don't think he deserves to play again this year from watching it. Just as weird as the short suspension, was DeVillers post match conference where he tried to explain why it didn't even deserve a yellow card???? BTW are the TMO allowed to get...
