    Waratahs 2011

ARU certainly don't allocate clubs. I am not even sure that they allocate S15 franchises. There are a lot of players with ARU contracts (usually for 7s) who do not have S15 contracts or even academy spots. Jacob Taylor at Uni springs to mind.

It's a brave person to tip against Joeys at the moment. They weren't fancied in either of their last 2 games but still managed to sneak in. They probably don't have the cattle this year, but they seem to have something. And being Joeys they will always believe they can win, and other teams will...

    Shute Shield 2010

Uni looked pretty impressive against West Harbour yesterday and are finally starting to gel after their troubled start. Next weeks game against the Woodies should be a cracker!!

Hux has a bit of a groin strain so not playing this week. Trist is back to his best after recovering from an ACL reconstruction in the off season so gets to resume his favourite position, at least for this week.

That is indeed Blocker jnr playing LH for Easts. He has been in 2nd grade but has had a few runs in 1s off the bench. Ofa has been the main starting LHP.

Cyclo, as a medico you should know that you don't order a test when you don't want to know the answer!

S Finger is still a work in progress, but has taken huge strides this year. Moore is the complete package and was very impressive when he came on last night. I would start him next week.

Agree, but I thought McAlman made the most of his cameo. I think his ball carry had a lot to do with Genia's try. Hit it hard, got over the gain line by a few metres and made the ball available quickly. He's got a big future.

Nice choice. Darren De Bortoli is a Joeys old boy!

They're comfortably in the 6. That's all they need.

Adam Freier - appears to have good propects for a journo career

$15. And a bargain at that for mine. Cheaper still if you are a member of one of the clubs and get free entry to home games.

    LOCKED: Time to Sack Deans?

I thought Horne was pretty good tonight, especially in defence, but a fit Digby has to be in there somewhere. Preferably on the wing for mine. If they are going to run back everything then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) should stay at FB, so maybe Schmoo moves to the bench.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2010

Great report as always, Lee. What a great result for the Joe-boys. When Joeys were very dominant a few years ago and had most of their team playing in NSW teams, the first game back after July hols was always a bit of speed bump. Those championships take a lot of the boys and there are usually...
