    Rugby Predictions for 2012

Combine this with some other media reports, and Stephanie Rice is now the conference's bicycle, it seems.

    Melbourne Rugger.

Fair enough, well there's plenty of clubs down here to hook up with, even when you're not playing. Make sure you get on board the Rebel Army as well, we'll make you feel right at home. facebook.com/rebelarmy or twitter.com/rebel_army. Good sales pitch? :P

    Melbourne Rugger.

Go for North Melbourne, plenty of pity action to be had. Looking for a rugby club here, SaderChief?

Things that I love about Rugby these days

She's free! Hallelujah! I've loved this year in rugby. FINALLY being a part of the big time. Seeing 18,000 odd in each week to watch YOUR game. It's surreal. And next year when we lift the cup, it'll be even better :)

    Rugby Predictions for 2012

    - Wallabies win the Quad Nations and Bledisloe. - Argentina suffer heavy away defeats, but are undefeated at home. - Rebels wildcard their way to the finals, Force just missing out. - Quade classily announces he's going to league during his injury layover, plays one farewell game for Reds. -...

    Rebels 2012

Inman and Johannson, at least this year, are insurance. Bench unless something happens to Stirlo, MG, or Huxley. They'll start in SR2013. Cipriani will start at 10 all year. When he goes back to England at the end of the season, then JOC (James O'Connor) will take over, allowing someone like Inman to move in.

is this true ? Can the Brumbies go under ?

While I don't agree re Stadium Australia, I feel the need to reply to congratulate you about the above. Excellently played, sir.

is this true ? Can the Brumbies go under ?

Playing two games at Stadium Australia is hardly taking the game to new frontiers. And yes, we're Melbourne, hence the name. But even we've taken trial matches to Geelong, Morwell, Ballarat, and from next year, Singapore. If the ARU want the game to grow in places like the Central Coast...

is this true ? Can the Brumbies go under ?

Brumbies won't go under. Haven't they got a huge redevelopment that'll cash them up long-term? The ARU will fix them up for the next year or so and all will be rosy.

Fixed that for you WJ :)

    Oz Rugby participation numbers

I wonder how big the increase is in Victoria. Some clubs were overwhelmed this year, so much so that the competition is extending in 2012.

    Rebels 2012

I think Stirling was on holiday. The captain/VC are the same as 2011.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

Good to hear, but I hope the initial bandwagoning leads to high attendances. The Melbourne Victory have around 18000 members but average around 16000 since the Kewell hype wore off.

    Rugby Moment of The Year....

Forgot about this. To reach the final playing no games at home, after what happened to their family and friends, was incredible.

    Rugby Moment of The Year....

I'm tempted to say the first win, as that was one of the highlights of my life, let alone the year. Seeing Victorian rugby finally being celebrated was amazing. But for me, it was the Rebels v Sharks match. Not only was it an epic game, but that the team got a standing ovation after LOSING...

    Rebels 2012

According to Damien Hill, anything apart from top 6 will be a disappointment. Good to see we're aiming high at least.

    Rebels 2012

Just to clarify, Yuri Kushnarev has been invited to train for a contract with the Rebels. He'll play in some of our trials and go from there. Brilliant news for the Rebels and Russian Rugby.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

Big win considering the final number was ~7000 odd last year. To have 5000 already is huge.

    Digby stays put.

Stays with the Reds for 3 more years and then finishes his career in front of his family and friends back home at the Rebels. Sounds good. In all seriousness, great to see him sticking around. Thought he was gone for all money - no pun intended - but great to see a player putting club and...

    Super Rugby touch rugby

I know the Army had planned at least two: Kurtley Beale Memorial Trophy II = GAGRatahs @ Rebel Army (Fri 2 Mar) James O'Connor KPI Shield I = Rebel Army @ Perth (TWF/GAGR) (Sat 19 May) Adding in Scarf's list and we have: McKenzie Cup I = Rebel Army @ GAGReds (Sun 11 Mar) - need numbers from...
