As long as the sponsorship covered flights, accom, and compensation for players missing work, then it'd be a goer. It'd have to come from both the ARU and the state unions sponsoring their competing teams.

I think a 16-team knockout competition would be an awesome end to the season. That said, we'll never have a domestic competition under current leadership.
