    Lions Tour Announcement in Melbourne

I was stoked until I saw the rest of the Melbourne test deal. No NZ until at least 2017 is a bit of a kick to the nads. 2013 should be sweet though. The Lions at AAMI, ooh boy.

    Lions Tour Announcement in Melbourne

The MCC owns the stadium, their members have paid for the right to not show up. I don't like it personally (as an MCC member) but them's the breaks. The ARU would get a flat payment from the MCC for the attendance in the Reserve. Keep in mind, the same thing happens (to a greater relative...

    The Wallabies Supporter Group

I quite like this idea from an operational standpoint. Regardless of your opinion of the Fanatics on game day (my own is mixed but not entirely negative, really depends on the group) they have created the type of organisation we need to emulate, where one of any number of people has the tools to...

    The Wallabies Supporter Group

I was thinking 'The 23rd Man' as a general name, but 'The Troup' is growing on me. I wouldn't be averse to 'The Mob' either haha.

    The Wallabies Supporter Group

Hey all, As blogged about on the front page, we're planning an Army of Gold for the 2012 tests and beyond. Just thought I'd open a thread in case you've got a name for the group, an idea, a comment, a question? Or if you need no convincing, get on board.

State of the Union - 2011 Survey

Completed, might help to include a N/A option for some of them, but. Example being that AAMI Park widely advertise they have no parking. I answered neutral for that one.

    Rebels 2012

Bump. The new Melbourne Rebels membership site was launched today. Make sure you sign up or renew ASAP @ melbournerebelsmembership.com.au. Gives a few hints about some changes for next year. First, the Rebel Army have been acknowledged with their own membership (the details of which are still...

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

As long as the sponsorship covered flights, accom, and compensation for players missing work, then it'd be a goer. It'd have to come from both the ARU and the state unions sponsoring their competing teams.

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

I think a 16-team knockout competition would be an awesome end to the season. That said, we'll never have a domestic competition under current leadership.

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

I'm sure it's been said multiple times, but national club championship, even if it's just a month-long cup. 4 Shute Shield teams, 3 QRU teams, 2 teams from ACTRU, VRU, RugbyWA, one team from SARU, NTRU, TRU.

    JON to step down

Yeah but he didn't. He gave the inside track to Sydney-based VicSuper15 until they collapsed due to lack of support. Ahh well, much of a muchness now.
