    Rebels 2012

Gareth Delve ends his two weeks in the wilderness, today re-appointed vice-captain, sharing the role with Hugh Pyle. Also comments on his future, in discussions with several clubs in Europe, as well as the Rebels...

Chabal to play Subbies Rugby in Australia !

We were allowed ten international spots instead of the regular two, with that number decreasing by two each year. Any international representative player is restricted to a two-year contract only. There's a window for exceptions to that rule, but in general that's the story. We currently have...

    Super Rugby touch rugby

Aaaaaaand bump. So are we going to do this thing or what? The McKenzie Cup should be a goer, play it on the Sunday after the game. Are the Tahs going to provide the GaGReds with a warm-up?

Think so, but his main improvement has been in defence and reading his man. Somebody (I forget who, so apologies to whoever it was) summed it up perfectly on Saturday, the incredible vision he has, and used to use to try and spot an intercept opportunity, he's now using to target his man and...

    Rebels 2012

Same thing I wrote in my review - the gap between first XV and second XV was astounding. Sure, they still had a lot of kids there who won't be in the main squad, and it's not like the entire team will be chopped and changed like that, but still a big concern if we get early injuries.

    Rebels 2012

Yeah, although most of the people in the press for the trial were from the Rebels Media Unit, so my outburst of 'GET IN THERE YOU BASTARD' when Gerrard scored was well received.

    Rebels 2012

Don't get me wrong, it was a great view, but kind of boring. Guess that goes to show the oft-talked-of 'differences in support', hey?

Anyone with a fantasy team, do yo-self a favour and buy Cooper Vuna. Then when you win the whatever-amount-of-money, you can give your ol' pal Stu some.

Do you know you can get beer delivered to the AAMI Park press box?

    Rebels 2012

Alright lads, maybe take a Bex and hop off it for a sec. Personally I accept that the RA is not for everyone, and a lot of what we do is trying to find the sweet spot between the support we want and the support people want to give. We did that very well last year, but the goalposts constantly...

    Rebels 2012

Ooh boy, did they what. I'll write something up for it tomorrow, but basically Damien Hill played two squads, probables and possibles. The squad in the first half, the probables, were insane. Danny Cipriani's kicks in open play were sublime, Beale and Gerrard were combining very well, and...

I'm expecting Gaz to go back at the end of the year, but I'd be surprised if he went to the Top 14. Last I heard, if he was going to return to Europe, he was looking to go back to the Premiership or the Rabo12, would serve his purposes a lot better. My source is pretty good.

That was the number given at the members day, which was a few weeks after memberships were launched but a few weeks before ads start. Same time last year we would be at about 3k. I would say about 90% renewals as a logical guess.

    Rebels 2012

A bit under 6000, I believe. A LOT of renewals. Advertising will start to kick in about now. They're aiming for 10,000, which would be incredible.

    Rebels 2012

I would say he's improved markedly. Defensively he's coming off a low score last year, but he kept his man in close quarters for most of the match. He did get targeted at points in the game, but didn't get a lot of support, save for a few pearlers from JOC (James O'Connor).

    Rebels 2012

I wrote up a review here: http://www.rebel-army.com/archives/2309 It wasn't all bad for the Rebels. Main thing to notice is that they played 4 distinct line-ups during the game, whereas the Chiefs played a more settled team for the duration. Attack, when they got the ball, was a lot more...
