Reds V Brumbies Trial 11-2-12 Live Twitter feed

Was at the game and can report that whilst the Brumbies penalty kicks kept them will in the game on the scoreboard, I never felt at any stage that they would win. Four tries to one was a pretty good indication of the difference between the two teams. Funny sort of game. As you would expect some...

Brumbies V Force Trial Match 4 Feb 2012

Can anyone who was there comment on how Tomane and Tupou looked in their first game back from league? I note in one article that To'omua was named MOTM. That's promising for the Brumbies if that is the case.

    Reds v Brumbies Trial Match - Cairns - 11 Feb 2012

Murphy, Frisby, Davis and Anae are all EPS, leaving UJ as the only EPS player not travelling. I'm guessing he's injured. Not travelling from the main 31 look to be Hynes, Fainga'a A, Davies, Cooper and Van. Hopefully the injuries to the non-travellers (apart from Cooper who we know about) are...

    Reds v Brumbies Trial Match - Cairns - 11 Feb 2012

Watched Davies going around a few times for Uni. Looks quite mobile. Didn't I read somewhere that he may have played in an England age team?

Damn shame for Rapana. Is Pama Fou from the Sevens hooked up with any franchise? Big, tall and speedy, he might be worth a punt.

Lee - Horne certainly does look more robust and I'm sure that he wont mind being a touch slower as a sacrifice for the bulk. I'm tipping a massive season from him.

Fair chance of that being the case....:) Who is Jake Ball, and was Samu Wara at the Brumbies last year?

Fairly sure I saw Cam Clark at fullback for the Schools team against NZ last year. Not much to him but he showed plenty of guts.

Probably too early for it but the draw usually appears on the Reds website.

Great to see AJ Gilbert hasn't given up on the Super dream and has been noticed by a franchise. You really like to see guys who stick at it getting some recognition. Hope he goes well when given a chance..ala Beau R.

Quite a big step from Colts to Prems so don't look for miracles from Colts stepping up. Didn't the skipper win the Prem Comp player of the year? He's a good honest player but I do think they may need a couple of good signings to be competitive.

A couple of the Current OZ 7's guys would be a chance for the 20's side and the experience they're getting on the Sevens circuit will be a bit of a plus. Thinking of Crook, Foley and the young fellow who was OZ schools last year in the forwards, McMahon I think.

    Brumbies 2012

Seems to be a lot of "new stuff"" going on at the Brumbies. With all this positive vibe maybe they'll be the dark horse of the 2012 comp?

I really hope they do. Have they picked up anyone of note in the off season?

Pretty much agrees with view of things T12. Be interesting to see how many of the Uni and Bank players are unavailable due to Reds committments. Uni has better depth but Sunnybank could struggle a bit without the likes of Schatz, Tapuai, Gill, Lucas, Holmes, Simmons and AWH, who are all likely...

IS is right, Waldo Wessels. Of all the players on the ground he took my eye. I presume he is in the Academy.....

As for a replacement 10....they would do worse than get Matt Brandon on a contract. Apart from his skills as a ball player he is a magnificent goal kicker.

Good on you Bruce, I concur wholeheartedly. I know a couple of people who ar exceptional human beings but were unfortunately struck by the gambling bug. Like any addiction it has horrible ramifications and the addict has little control over his/her behaviour. Thankfully those that I know...
