Brumbies V Force Trial Match 4 Feb 2012

Keen to see how To'omua goes bossing the Brumbies backline. I'm also keen to hear from people how Tomane and Tupou go on their return from league.

    Australian U/20s 2012

James O'Connor never played U20's and no one made a big deal about that. At the end of the day, if a players principal employer considers that person to be a key component to their chances then they should have every right to retain them at the expense of the U 20's. Gill is no longer a...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Scott, Congratualutions, Mooney will be a great person to learn the trade from. What's the 2012 lineup for Wests looking like? I guess Angus Cotrell will be lost for most of the season but I am so impressed with his rise from relative obscurity. Is Tasi back for 2012? The Wests side I saw...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

At the start of 2011 I think most punters predicted a Bank v Uni Grand Final, Uni ended up being the surprise no show, and Brothers played well above their weight to get there. Both Sunnybank and Uni look the strongest in 2012 as well, but I can see GPS, Brothers and Easts applying some real...

    Rugby Moment of The Year....

Horwill and Co hoisting the trophy..no better moment for a long suffering Qld rugby fan!

    Waratahs 2012

Less than two months away , that will come quickly. Went to Lismore a couple of years back for the Tah's v Reds trial and have to say that the smaller communities really support these games. The goodwill that the Tah's leave behind will be significant. Love trials, they're a good opportunity...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

Tough start to the season for both teams and perhaps game of the round.

    Waratahs 2012

Have I missed something here...not sure what it is that might offend me? Edit: Bit slow, reference to member status maybe?

Is Cruz Ah Nau still with the Force, and what side of the scrum does he play?

Jets - is 28th April start of the season proper or does that account for pre-season as well? Hopefully not and we are watching club rugby in March.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

When is Cooper actually due back? I thought full knee recon's take about nine months, which would make it June or July, the back end of the season. If the Reds are travelling well, bringing him back early could be a major gamble, not only for the team but him personally. Look at what happened...

    Waratahs 2012

I reckon once he is fully fit, Taoumopeau will be a very valuable addition to any squad once there are some injuries to others. Quite a bit of experience already for a young bloke.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2012

They were top four this year with a very young side, and next year's roster looks stronger, so I don't think too many will be surprised Triplet. If some of the young blokes at the Reds step up you may even see Samo getting a rest from a game or two in the S15 and make a couple of cameos like he...

    IRB Sevens 2012

Watched some highlights of the SA Sevens and have to say the OZ boys are closing the gap on the other sides, even if the results aren't quite showing it at the moment. Probably still need one or two real playmakers in the side, ala a Richard Kingi, but the youngsters are making a good fist of it...

    IRB Sevens 2012

A couple of trials to test '7''s aptitude might be the go, if the Olympics are considered that important a prize. Anyone wanting to be eligible would have to play in a mini-series, and the best 12 or whatever number selected from that. Some of the specialists might surprise. Cricket has...

Is Sam Satui still at GPS? He goes very well at club from what I've seen, as does Donovan Slade. Couple of older heads to guide some of that young talent around. The forwards look strong, particularly with the Smith props and that backrow including Blain.

    IRB Sevens 2012

If you are talking tried and tested Sevens players then Richard Kingi and Luke Morahan would have to be strong considerations. As with JOC (James O'Connor), they really impressed when they got a run in 7's.

    Digby stays put.

I'm sure it is a nice deal Ruggo (certainly hope so), and I hope it comes with some assurances for 'life after rugby' as that will be a much longer period than his time in the game.

    Heineken European Cup 2012

Stumbled across the Toulouse v Toulon game on the tele last night. Burgess looked very impressive.

    IRB Sevens 2012

Agree on "Lime Greens" as being ordinary, but what is wrong with "Thunderbolts" in a comp that is all about excitement, flashiness and instant gratification? By the way, and I've said it before, the uniforms really aren't that bad.
