    Brumbies V Force Round 1 - 2012R01

Welcome back BH, or have I just not noticed your return to the forum? Maybe White is resigned to the fact that Pocock is going to rule that area of play so he wants a big backrow to bash runners coming of subsequent plays? Why waste a player coming second in the contest to Pocock all night...

    Waratahs vs Reds - Round 1 - 2012R01

Given the injury toll to the Tah's backline I think the Reds can afford to be a little experimental with the backs, although trial form seems to suggest that most positions are set for the opener. Did someone say davies is still injured or is he available for this game? Love to see a 4/3 bench...

It's Goodbye for the Fainga'a Twins

Not at all. I just think that Managers do have a valuable purpose. The court of public perception, IMO only, is a great arena to be peddling your players worth, just not in the grubby way that a small number of Managers do.

    Rebels 2012

Kingi is a very versatile player who can play every position from 9 to 15. Not sure about his top line speed but he has a good boot, as well as great elusiveness and strength. He also has a decent defensive game. Must have for the Rebels bench at the very least, but could easily slot into...

It's Goodbye for the Fainga'a Twins

What's the purpose of a manager if he's not trying to get the best deal for his player(s)? I see nothing untoward in what he has done. There is no apparent animosity to the Reds, and he is just doing the right thing by his players, who look to have had some income taken away from them.

Bad luck for Fainga'a but a good chance for Hooper to shine. A backrow of Hooper, Vaea and Mowen doesn't look half bad.

Thanks for the report LG. Good to see Ah Wong go well. He has been impressive at Brisbane Prems level and it should only be a matter of time before he gets a chance at the next level. From a Qld and Easts Tigers point of view, good to see Enever impressing and Faulkner back on the park.

    Waratahs vs Reds - Round 1 - 2012R01

Never comfortable coming up against the Tahs. This time last year many of us (Reds supporters) were pretty cocky going into the game but had the tails firmly between the legs post match, after the Tahs played a near perfect half of rugby in the first half and smacked the beejeezuz out of the...

    Brumbies v ACT XV trial

Jesse Moggs continued progress is good to see. Is he ahead of Sitauti at this stage?

    Reds v Force - Trial 16/2

Thanks to Bru and Gaffa for the match reports. Well, the Reds have obviously shown good trial form and thankfully no injuries this game. Great to see that Quirk was impressive. I'm interested to know how Schatz went? It will be veryinteresting to see what the starting team v. the Tah's is...

    Reds v Force - Trial 16/2

Big challenge for Shipperley in the form of Nalaga, and likewise Ioane for Wara. That's not a bad Force side.

    Reds v Force - Trial 16/2

Not sure there are many more fit outside backs to sit on the bench?

Great to see, I hope the guys get a few "game" opportunities during the year as that seems to have been missing in the previous setup. The one downside to the new setup is where the main squad members who don't make game day get their extra game time from?

    Waratahs 2012

Funny that Betham is not really considered a fullback option at all as that's where I remember him featuring a lot as a schools player.

    Brumbies 2012

Lee, Prior played at 10 for Qld Uni Prems a number of times last year and didn't look too shabby. Not sure if he also goalkicks, but as I said in another thread I think the Brumbies are well served at the base of the scrum, and to your point they also have good utility options. Agree with the...

    Brumbies 2012

Stephen Moore would be a loss to any side so hopefully his time on the sidelines is limited. On another note there was a lunch on the Friday before the game and in a Q&A session the Brumbies nominated three big guys Siliva, Murphy and Yanuyanutawa. Jerry impressed a lot of people with the...

Reds V Brumbies Trial 11-2-12 Live Twitter feed

I honestly thought the second half Reds were going to towel the Brumbies second half side as there was a fairly large experience gap, but the young Brumbies acquitted themselves well. Like I said, I thought it was too stop start, so not many players got a chance to really shine.

Don't know who the ref was, just thought he was a bit pedantic.

Reds vs Waratahs - the war before the war

He scored an opprtunistic try right at the start of the trial match on the weekend, from his own chargedown I think. Looked quite sharp.
