Now I am going to take the cat by the scruff of the neck and throw it right in amongst the pidgeons....
From your point of view, being someone on the board of said community club, do you think that this reduction will be from the 'problem gamblers' or will it be more likely the people who just couldn't be bothered going through the hoops and therefore will just stop putting their spare change into the pokies? And also, do you (as an individual or a club) have a community conceince with regards to provision of the 'service' and/or feel that you are being 'picked on' for something that is beyond your control?
Please don't take the above the wrong way. I think that there are other issues out there in the field of gambling that need to be addressed, not only the whole pokie issue. As a person who does not have much to do with poker machines at all (last time I put money in one was in Monte Carlo in 2007), I am just trying to get both sides of the debate and I think that what has been shuffled through the media is not the full story from either side of the debate.
