R15: Waratahs vs Jaguares @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 25 May 2019

KB (Kurtley Beale) very lucky not to have a YC for his woeful attempt on the Jaguares winger. Had he actually managed to put the winger into touch, I'd expect it would have been a penalty try and YC. Who actually enhanced their chances for a Wallabies spot? Not Hooper - he's already there and didn't harm his...

    Rd 15 Brumbies v Bulls

Yep, Tom needs to learn the game and forget all about League. Others who had a huge impact on the game were Fainga'a, Sio, Ala'alatoa (all again), Arnold, Brown, Samu, Powell, Simone and Banks. Altogether, an excellent all round performance by the whole team.

    Reds v Chiefs thread

In my opinion, one of the main reasons the Reds couldn't match it with the Cheifs. Campbell just gets monstered every time he is in play.

TK with a Mortlock-esque performance tonight. Wasn't Valetini a monster when he came on. For the record, Cheika must be the worst judge of talent in the country for leaving Pete Samu out of the Wallaby squad. But, of course, anyone with an iota of intelligence has known that for over four years.

    Reds v Chiefs thread

Not throwing the likes of ASY (Angus Scott-Young) and Liam Wright on the scrap heap already, are you Shaker? To me, Wright is only a small margin behind Hooper atm as a No 7. He doesn't have Hooper's experience nor his wider running game, but he is probably better over the ball and certainly better at playing a...

    RD 15: Sunwolves v Rebels

Rebels with a bonus point win. Probably put them again at the top of the Aussie conference, but still with the Crusaders over the horizon.

R15: Waratahs vs Jaguares @ Western Sydney Stadium - Saturday 25 May 2019

Forward pack starting to look a bit more substantial with Robertson back and HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) available on the bench. But the Jaguares have a lot riding on the game, needing to keep winning to take out the SA conference. I think the up- tempo pace they play at will put a lot of pressure on the likes of...

    Brumbies 2020

That's the attitude that I think just might convince Poey to stay for another year or so too. Post RWC, the Brumbies will continue to have one of the strongest packs in Super Rugby and will be a good chance to go the whole way in the competition. Poey must be feeling a little let down this year...

Bloody socialist programme if ever I saw one. Governments should get the hell out (is that vilification?) and let Rugby get on with being the free market success it is meant to be.;)

    RD 15: Sunwolves v Rebels

I really think the Rebels have to play a little deeper (Quade) in attack if they are being confronted with a rush defense. The problem seems to me to be that Quade and his outside backs are all receiving the ball under immense pressure in most recent games, leading to significant errors...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I like the look of that backrow, but personally, I'd go with Arnold, Coleman, Rodda and Philip as the locks. I am sure that both Coleman and Rodda can call the lineouts, so we should at last be able to wean ourselves off Rob Simmons for once and for all.

Super Rugby 2019 Predictions - Aussie Conference

BH I was responding to a post about the Rebel's chances, not the Brumbies. But, on the subject, I was sure there were a couple of Tahs' players who needed to have two rested games yet, so is it possible for them to not have rested players in at least two games yet to come?

Heard that he came to Canberra after he left Christchurch, but don't know where he is now.

Especially if the Tahs are starting to rest their Wallabies at that stage.

    RD 14: Rebels v Bulls - Fri 17th @7:45 - AAMI Park

I know flat backline attack is all the go atm. But I think the biggest problem the Rebels have is that Quade is playing too flat. Any rush defense, and aren't they all now?, will put immense pressure on an attack that plays as flat as Quade and the Rebels' backline. Just leads to errors, as...

    RD 14: Rebels v Bulls - Fri 17th @7:45 - AAMI Park

Try notwithstanding, Will G has been way sub-par. Slow to the breakdown, slow to get the ball out and any number of ridiculous kicks that achieved nothing. Not playing anywhere near his usual standard the last three or four games, and not at Wallaby standard.

    Brumbies 2020

It would be a shame if his move disqualifies his eligibility to play for the Wallabies. To be clear, I am not advbocating him for a Wallabies' spot, but I understand he would have gained eligibility early next year. Would have been another feather in the cap had it come to pass.

In the context of the size of modern day rugby players. I think I made that clear. Noah is roughly the same size as me. I know I would be a midget in a rugby team.
