    The Israel Folau saga

BH, isn't the Smith/Warner situation just what I'm suggesting should happen. CA makes a decision (in this case the suspensions) and Smith and Warner had rights to appeal? Or am I missing something?

    The Israel Folau saga

KOB, I have stayed away from making comments on this matter mainly because I'm not sure in my own mind how I think it should play out. On the one hand I can't understand how anybody these days can be offended by calls to an imaginary supernatural being, while otherwise I do see there is an...

    The Israel Folau saga

I'd challenge anyone to make sense of what Cheika said in that quote. You've had a good go at it BH, but it could just as easily maen the opposite, or nothing at all.

    Un-Australian Activities 2019

Many more teams than the Blues are inconsistent with their results and efforts this year Zero. Blues are no exception. Don't give up on them just yet.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Thanks BH. I note that Henry wasn't listed in the squad above and Kiap had him identified as a centre/wing in his list of omissions. That tossed me. He does look like a player of some talent.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Is there a backup No 9 in the squad. I thought the SydUni halfback was excellent against Japan, but can't see his name on the sheet.

Wilson (No 6) is contracted to the Reds but Harris (No 8) is with the Tahs.

    Rd 13: Rebels v Reds @ Melbourne 10/5/19 7.45 pm

I think the Rebels will get away with this one, but won't be easy. On team selections, I'd also like to see Koroibete given a rest, but I'd revert to Hodge at 15 and put DHP on the wing. Hodge is almost a must have and 15 is his best spot. DHP is equally at home on the wing. Meakes must...

Rd 12: Bulls vs Waratahs @ Loftus. 11pm Saturday AEST

BH, the off-loading was simply exceptional. Wonder why they can't or don't do it more often?

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Collector, a small NSW town of 330 residents, attracted 18,000 visitors to its pumpkin festival. Sort of shows up the crowds going to rugby these days, but, of course, who'd choose to go to a Super Rugby game when they have the option of all the excitement of watching a pumpkin grow? Maybe...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Did exceptionally well Wamb, but in rugby terms he is too small to make it to the top. Much like so many "next big things" in the 10 jersey over recent years. Unfortunately, I think the same applies to Noah Lolesio who also had a starring role on Saturday.

    Waratahs 2019

That's true QH. Plenty leaving the Brumbies it seems. Maybe we need a new Super Rugby 2020 thread to start discussing the numbers leaving each of the franchises and their ramifications in terms of recruitment and perceived weaknesses.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Nobody who offers Foley as the Wallabies No 10 should complain about anybody else's kicking game. Either from hand or off the tee.

    Waratahs 2019

Tip of the iceberg? I reckon AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) won't be around for another year after the RWC and I'm sure I've seen that Foley is off, or almost certain to be off. Is KB (Kurtley Beale) signed for another year?

The issue surely would be the distance between SA and the Eastern most teams, say Fiji?

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Lealiifano put his hand up again against the Blues. Was impressive with his defense. He's probably the only 10 atm who brings a well rounded game to play. Hegarty is improving and is forming a bit of a combination with Kerevi at 12.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Lonergan, Hosea, Woods, Wilson, McReight and Harris were all outstanding. The backrow really worked well together and seemed to hunt as a pack. Harris is a monster at this level. Many sore bodies in the Junior ABs this morning I'll warrant. I wasn't impressed with McDonald in the Fiji game...

Brumbies V Blues Saturday 4 May

Congratulations to Len Ikitau on an excellent debut in Super Rugby. Scott Sio also deserves honourable mention for his best game in quite a while.

Well, I would rate him better than Rasterveni from SA, but all in all 7s just isn't my cup o' tea.
